Jeff’s dad, and mom signed him up for guitar lessons in 1968, just before his 9th birthday. In 1972 he started learning mandolin, and then in 1974 was given a fiddle. He won the Indiana State Fiddle Contest in 1975, and was given the opportunity to go Weiser Idaho to compete in the National Old Time Fiddlers Contest, where he took 4th place in his age division. Jeff played in bands throughout high school, and went on to work as a musician/instructor after graduating. He toured professionally for 10 years with Grand Ole Opry Stars, Steve Wariner and Vince Gill. He currently teaches between 25-30 students each week, and performs live, mainly around the Southern Indiana, and Louisville Kentucky area.
