Thirty-three-year-old Texas-style fiddle player Tom Weisgerber was influenced early on by Chris Daring, Dick and Lisa Barrett, and later on by Wes Westmoreland, Jimmie Don Bates, and Matt Hartz. Tom has judged many nationally recognized fiddle contests, including the National Fiddle Championships in Weiser, Idaho, in 1991 and again in 1996, as well as Langly in 1989 and 1991.
He is a seven-time Minnesota State Champion, the Halletsville Texas Fiddlers Frolics’ Out-of-State Champ of 2002, and consistently ranks in the top ten championship division at Nationals.
Tom has released two fiddle recordings in which he is featured as both the fiddler and the guitarist. Needless to say, he is gifted on both instruments.
